Reminds me of a sick comic book story I read when I was younger wherein these kids were kidnapped and brutally murdered by the Easter Bunny or some large rabbit in revenge for the kids biting off the heads of the chocolate easter bunnies. My recollection is vague, it was one of several stories in the comic, but the fate of the children was rather graphic.
