Thought for the day

How many people would believe in a god if there were no rewards promised to the self for doing so?

hi stardust,
isn't if funny that all the gods that have been proposed have certain things in common:
- invisibility
- great powers! (this one cracks me up every time)
- no confirmation until death (ie NO money-back guarentee!)

have you seen the atheist mother discussion group:
it's been a HUGE support for me :)

Hi freethoughtmom...glad you visited my blog. I have read yours and will be back to visit often. :-)
I had always been a closet skeptic. Then in 1996 our whole family left religion behind and have been much happier without it...FREE! Some of my extended family pities us, and I would bet money we are on a prayer list to save our souls at one or more church!
Thanks for the discussion group link. I will check it out.

Hi Stardust ... this is Clark (the Christian from our ongoing discussion on the Atheist Revolution Blog). Thank you for posing this question. I used it for an opportunity to examine my faith on my own blog -!1p-mlhszGxE8CSR-VflQ-4AQ!260.entry
