I am the only one in my family who has never flown in an airplane. I have never had any reason to, but I do have a fear of flying in a plane. However, I am thinking now it may be safer than driving over all the many bridges and overpasses I have to cross on a daily basis. I have always experienced anxiety when sitting in my vehicle on a bridge crowded with cars in a major traffic jam, and feeling it "bouncing" ever so slightly as cars in the oncoming lanes whiz by. I thought I was being paranoid by thinking, "I hope this thing holds up." Now I don't think I was being paranoid after all. We take too much for granted.
