Boogeymen

Kids are funny. They think that if they cover up they are safe.
great..crimeny, I still do it now! TOTALLY irrational, I know. But if in the dark, by myself in the night, and my imagination gets going! The difference is that now I can rationalize myself out of irrational thinking.
I'm deaf in my right ear, so when I was a kid, I would sleep with my good left ear against the pillow so I wouldn't have to hear the monsters either. Nowadays, I sleep the other way, so I can hear in case any intruders break in.
I think we all have done that when we were tikes.
