Wow! Thanks for posting that. It almost made up for the overcast 2:00 AM I just spent looking for the Perseids.
breakerslion, you are welcome. The closest I have ever come to a meteor was when a couple of years ago one sailed over our town and smashed into the roof of a house several towns away. It sounded like a big jet going over and everyone was wondering if a plane was having trouble or something. But the thing was only about the size of 12 pack of Pepsi.
It seems that many people are having a problem viewing Perseids because of weather or overcast skies. It's too bad. It would be cool to be able to see it first hand.
Impressive...!
cyberkitten, hey there...wherevya been?
I'm really bummed. I didn't see anything this weekend, and we had clear skies to boot. I just don't understand.
A few years ago I did get to see a few meteors during the Perseid shower.

Oh... I've been here... and there....
I've actually been debating morality & reason with a pair of Christians lately which has been taking up my time & brain power [grin].
I visit here most days but don't always drop a comment.
well, it's good to see you cyberkitten. I read your blog regularly, though don't comment often. I need lost patience lately with extended discussion with theists about religion and morality and all the same old arguments.
I have been limiting my time blogging and spending more time reading and writing and other things lately so why not so many posts that will "bait" trolls and their redundant arguments.

Thanks.
I do sometimes find it difficult to keep my frustration in check with some people. It seems to me that Christians in particular trot out the same tired arguments again and again. I'm convinced that they have a check list or something - often their debating points are word perfect from person to person. It's most bizarre.
I've seen some of the debates here and I honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry at some of the so-called arguments put forward by some Christians. They repeat what they have been told but seem not to have actually *thought* about it to any kind of depth - but I guess that's faith for you.... [grin]
I always enjoy my visits here. It's good to see someone else who appreciates how amazing (and beautiful) our Galaxy/Universe is without needing God to 'explain' it!
