I wish I had seen this cartoon before I tried to explain to someone that atheists did not (necessarily) have a religion and that monotheists were atheists when it comes to all other gods. Thanks for the laugh.

Duane - I am definitely going to use this one also. I should print out a copy and carry it around and just show it...it speaks louder than words.

adam - I never thought of this argument either until I read an article about it on Positive Atheism (I think it was that website) and then along comes this cartoon on the Frenetic Wanderings comic site.

Claiming atheism is a religion is like saying not having sex is a form of having sex, not eating ice cream is a form of eating ice cream, not being in Philadelphia is a form of being in Philadelphia -- an abuse of language.
