To the religionist who feels atheists never say anything positive:

You are an intelligent human being. Your life is valuable for its own sake. You are not second-class in the universe, deriving meaning and purpose from some other mind. You are not inherently evil—you are inherently human, possessing the positive rational potential to help make this a world of morality, peace and joy. Trust yourself.

–Dan Barker, from his book, Losing Faith in Faith

That is a nice reminder. The view of human nature held by many atheists tends to be much more positive than the Christian view.

vjack - Yes, the atheist view tends to be a more positive view than the Xian one. The xian view is focused on death, and wishful ways to try to outsmart the inevitable intead of accepting what we cannot change and living life fully and free from superstitious "bondage".

Hey, where did you find that logo? I know it is the standard atheist logo, but I haven't seen this exact version before. Very colorful.

vjack - I just did an image search in yahoo for "atheist logo" and I found it by looking through the pages of images. It's cool, isn't it?
