How many god believers would choose to go to a hospital that relied on belief and faith alone?

I was looking for where I had read this and finally found it at the Atheist Ethicist, titled “Faith Hospital”. How many of the “faithful” would choose to go to Faith Hospital instead of the Institute for Scientific Medicine?

I have used a variation of that a few times in debates with fundies.

I would ask them if a close family member required complicated surgery, and their choice was either the best surgeon in the world who happened to be an atheist, or a Biblical literalist fresh out of med school, which surgeon would they choose.

Of the handful I asked, they all went with the experienced atheist, though if I recall, one of them twisted it somehow that just because the surgeon was an atheist, he was still carrying out god's plan in healing the patient or some such nonsense.

tommy, isn't it something how they can invent an answer for anything just to try to keep their god in the picture? They make it up as they go, and it's hard to keep up with that unless we start making shit up too as we go along.
