I'm so sick and tired of this Christian-invented "war on Christmas" baloney over a celebration that is actually of pagan origins. The Christmas celebration was created by the early Church in order to entice pagan Romans to convert to Christianity without losing their own winter celebrations. Most of the most important gods in the religions of Ishtar and Mithra had their birthdays on December 25.

Laugh out loud funny cartoon [wipes away tears]

...and I'm sure we all know what religion that 'someone' will be.... [snigger].
On a median strip in an intersection near where I live there are a coupld of those "Keep Christ in Christmas" signs. I felt a little tempted to stick the following over one of them:
KICK CHRIST OUT OF CHRISTMAS!
I saw a bumper sticker that my husband and I would love to get before our family gathering so we can display it on the back of our car ...
"Mithras is the Reason for the Season"

Star, that's awesome...too bad it would go completely over the heads of the historically-ignorant.
It would give them something to google when they get home though.
