Imagine

Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...

Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.
~John Lennon

Yes! One of my favorite songs of all time!! It is so calm, peaceful and tranquil with a great message; arguably one of the best songs ever created.

“Imagine that there’s no heaven, it’s easy if you try. No hell below us, above us only sky. Imagine all the people, living for today.” – Lennon.

tab,

It means that when there is a bizarre coincidence that many people would enjoy ascribing occult postulates to describe the statistically bizarre coincidence. It's just a cool coincidence, there is no evidence for synchronicity as being real.

Thanks, really good lyrics!

I thought that my computer had malfunctioned when I came back...I thought I hadn't seen all the lyrics the first time.

Communism? Hippies?

No thank you! The proper antidote for this stuff is ..... soap.

John Lennon was not a hippie communist. He just "imagined" a world that was more simple, instead of the capitalistic, backstabbing, take advantage of others for false "possessions" kind of world. This song also applies to the people you dislike Jason, imagining how much less hate, suffering, and conflict there would be if people were not religious fundementalists. Of course, as he says he is a dreamer, and the world he pictures can only be a world of fantasy.
John Lennon will be remembered for the good things he spoke of, and the great songs and music he wrote. Not for supporting communistic regimes that slaughtered their own people, because he obviously did not agree with this kind of thinking.

Does this sound commie to anyone???
Lennon was far from being communist.

REVOLUTION

You say you want a revolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know you can count me out

Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright

You say you got a real solution
Well you know
We don't love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well you know
We're doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait

Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright, al...

You say you'll change the constitution
Well you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well you know
You better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow

Don't you know know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright

Alright, alright
Alright, alright
Alright, alright
Alright, alright
