Daily Show - End Of The World

Jon Stewart ridicules the moronic "end of the world" bullcrap that keeps popping up in the news media.

That was a great piece. I simply cannot believe some of the insipid nonsense that the television media has the audacity to pass off as “news,” what a euphemism that term is becoming.

It's really sad when you have to go to Comedy Central to get a sane and rational look at the news.

VERY funny.... Though I do wonder at the state of your 'news' media!

"TRUTH through Comedy"... Great slogan I think..

It's all about ratings, now. It stopped being about impartially reporting actual news stories a long time ago, which is sad and unfortunate.

I worked in the newspaper editing/writing business for awhile when in my 30s and couldn't take it. It was all about sensationalism and hype and I didn't want to lower myself to those standards. For most journalists in today's media, ethics in media classes in college were a complete waste of time. Fair and unbiased news reporting is difficult to find.

Also, another problem is that the general public seems to LIKE "newsertainment" instead of real news reporting.
