Good one. This Mel thing is getting funnier by the minute. I hope South Park re-airs the episode where Mel goes crazy.

vjack - I thought this cartoon was hilarious when I ran across it. Only time will tell if Mel really did "crucify" himself and his career.

That South Park is hilarious!

Star this is P.C. from GIFS with some information you asked for a couple of months ago about college requirements dropping over the years. I could not find my actual copy of the magazine I read it in but, I did find other resources.

Since I do not want to take up a lot of space here I will give one example of this trend.

University of Pennsylvania in 1900 required at least 60 hours (credits) for a bachelors degree, before majors were introduced in 1915. In 1950 there was an upgrade to the credits needed in different fields totaling 73 credits. In the 1970's the credits went from 40 as needed to graduate to 32. This information is straight from the UPenn website.

This is but one example. I have more research to do but, I do have a few more examples as this trend is not isolated to UPenn.

I have several Aussie penfriends and they all think Mel is crazy and don't want to claim him. My friend in Melbourne says that Mel came to the U.S and we can have him! LOL!
