Woo Hoo! 20,000 visits!

According to my sitemeter, Stardust Musings and Thoughts for the Freethinker had its 20,000th visitor yesterday. Not bad considering that I do not subscribe to any comment feeds and I don't allow anonymous comments (because of problems with trolls and advertising). I don't really want to subscribe to a comment feed because I already spend too much time as it is in blogland. I have other things I like to do in addition to blogging.

When I first started this blog I didn't think that it would get that much attention, but now I have a small little group of regulars who I thank very much for taking time to come by and read and leave comments. Also, welcome to all new readers who happen to run across my blog. Feel free to also browse through my other blogs, as well. Links are provided in the sidebar.

Congrats! I definitely enjoy this blog and I check it every day. I would comment more often if I wasn't about to give birth any day now:) Bloggers like you have given me a lot to think about. I'm working on a blog of my deconversion, I'll let you know when I put it up.

andrea - thanks for being one of my loyal readers! Once you have your blog up and running, I will add the link to my blogroll.

Any day now, how exciting! Is this your first child?

And congrats on hitting 20K Stardust.

No, this is our second boy:) And thanks for offering to link to me before I'm even ready. It's been very overwhelming to try to think back on how the whole doubting process unfolded. The blog might end up reading like incoherent babble, but I really want to at least put my voice out there.

Hey, thanks Tommy! lol I'm sure the boy will be cute & bad, just like his brother and father:D

Are you sure it's not just one obsessive-compulsive person clicking your link lots and lots and lots and lots of times?

:-)

Congratulations!

breakerslion - LOL! That's funny to think about someone sitting there doing that. There are fruitcakes out there who actually would.

I have a couple of xians who are obsessive compulsive about my blog though my blog is pretty tame and not really anything too controversial but it bothers certain xians for some reason.

Sable chicken in particular is obsessed with me and Tommykey since Sean at GifS died. I see her town of Ukiah, California shows up half a dozen times a day!

thanks for the hits and raising my numbers, Sable!

Color me envious (green), & turn the page. I'm jealous. Been at it a year, & just recently cracked 10 grand.
Congratulations, salutations, etc.

Maybe it's 'cause you're so sweet & pleasant, they want to save you? Hehehehe.

That's pretty funny.
Depends on the service you use. Performancing used to do metrics, which would break the stats down via demographics, geography, & post per user view. They phased that out, & I use blogpatrol (which does the same thing, but on a per 5 visitor analysis).

Well done!

Ah, Stardust, you have put us all to shame. Well done!

When you reach 40,000 you'll have to write a book on how you did it. You could call it EAT MY DUST!

CHEERS!

daniel, Thanks for the kind words, but I don't think I have put anyone else to shame. The content of many other blogs is much more in-depth and well done. Others who have started their blogs around the same time I did use the rss feeds and have had over 100,000 visitors in the same amount of time. I don't think I want that much traffic. It's been steadily growing on its own...so I will just let things "evolve." :-)

I think a lot of people come over here from GifS. (GifS gets about a thousand visitors a day.) Writing for them has brought a lot of attention to my blog, otherwise I probably would have maybe ten regular visitors. LOL!

Congrats! You certainly deserve it.

thanks vjack!

Your's (Atheist Revolution) is the first atheist blog I ever started reading and commenting on. I was then "inspired" to start one of my own. You have an excellent blog.

I will also say congratulations. :)

I don't get nearly enough fundies at my blog, and I do quite enjoy their presence. I like to argue, (I mean discuss), with them.

I am going to blame KA for scaring them away. ;)

beepbeep - just hope chicken lady never comes a-callin'! She might just make you give up arguing with fundies!

Oh, I'm sorry: I thought you wanted me to do pest control. I'll tone it down, just for you. ;)
I always wondered why I don't get that many trolls. Seems I'm a little too heavy-handed. Hehehehe.
