Despite what American Atheist president Ellen Johnson is encouraging, intelligent people need to get out and vote so we don't have this happen again.

Well, I'm just grateful Barack Hussein Obama took out Hillary and saved the country from her vindictiveness, her megalomania, and the general scummy Clinton incompetence and corruption (filegate, taking funds from the People's Republic of China, travelgate, Waco, pardoning of FALN terrorists, deporting children for Fidel Castro, etc.)
Obama has said nothing except to parrot bits and pieces of speeches written by other people. He is a good orator and can rally the people together via emotions similar to what Ronny Reagan did during his campaign. Who cares what experience he has, who cares where he stands on the issues, just as long as everyone feels good. And he is getting so much of the vote because more black people have come out and voted than at any other time in history...and when asking various people why they are voting for Obama, they say "He has vision" he has "a dream", "he is a uniter" "he is going to bring Change". When asked what the vision is, what the dream is, where he stands on the issues, and how he is going to bring about this "Change", these Obama supporters cannot answer. They don't know anything except that he speaks well and is handsome and young.
And when he is the candidate all that stuff about him supporting slum lords, and other things are going to come out and we will gradually get to know the real "savior" Obama.
I don't like any of the choices this time around...none. But I do not want a continuation of the Bush regime no matter how "respectable" or "noble" John McCain is as a person.

I hate getting into politics, but Obama really boils my blood (especially his fanatic idiot followers). Yes, Clinton sucks major monkey butt too, but you're glad for Obama? What the hell has he even done? Mr. unite everyone gives great anti-war speeches, but fails to unite everyone to actually do anything about it. And hey, let's take a look at his legislature he proposes that doesn't go anywhere. At least Clinton would whup some ass. Obama is for handouts for low-life scumbags, and he is all fluff and no tough. Screw them all, I think I'll write in Al Gore, at least he invented the internet... ;)

I thought the nationalist hysteria after 911 was bad, but now people are talking about nationalizing healthcare, a government takeover of energy, and having the State control banking, all in the name of "unity" and "the people."
As a famous Italian progressive leader in the past put it, "All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state."
I wish someone would stand for the *decentralization* of power enshrined in our Constitution, along with valuing the *individual* instead of Revolutionary Change on behalf of The People. Ron Paul on paper seemed like a good option, until I discovered he is a neo-Confederate who wants to be "friends" with Islamic Supremacists.
McCain may be the status quo, but I'll take it over the foul Leninism being offered by the other side. Pol Pot, Fidel Castro, Mao Zedong etc were all agents of "change" too.
The word "change" is just the rhetoric being used by some candidates. There won't be a whole lot of change happening because change has to come from within. Nothing will change at all no matter who is elected. A few program changes, but little else.
