Nothing changed

Noah's flood changed absolutely nothing. It's one of the most pointless stories in the Bible.

Always thought, even when I was a "believer", that the Noah's ark story showed just how f**ked up this "Gawd" was in supposedly wiping out almost all of mankind except for one friggin family. Not entirely sure, but I don't think that would be a good example of a "loving" gawd.

Hi Greg,

I always thought that too, even as a little kid. The story was so bizarre to me, and I always realized it didn't change anything. Noah got drunk and showed himself naked to his sons...etc. And if this god wanted to wipe out sin, it didn't work. So the whole thing was absolutely pointless.

It's just another flood myth based on a localized flood and people's imaginations went wild making up yet another story. Incredible that so many today believe it really happened and try to rationalize it and attempt to use science to prove it is true. Mind boggling.

Then there's the whole 'Tower of Babel' story too, where God gets pissy about a scary tower and hits the people with a lame-ass jibber-jabber "curse".

I like this one too.

God supposedly is eternal and omniscient, AND lacked the foresight to conclude a flood could not eliminate human evil. There's a logical disconnect there.

And Noah was a 500 year old virgin too!

Maybe god is an alcoholic? Goes on drunken binges and wakes up in the morning and says "oh fuck...what did I do?"
