A new study shows that the states that consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption.
A new nationwide study of anonymised credit-card receipts from a major online adult entertainment provider finds little variation in consumption between states.
“When it comes to adult entertainment, it seems people are more the same than different,” says Benjamin Edelman at Harvard Business School.
However, there are some trends to be seen in the data. Those states that do consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption, the study finds.
“Some of the people who are most outraged turn out to be consumers of the very things they claimed to be outraged by,” Edelman says.
(It was noted that less porn was sold to church-goers on Sunday.)

Actually, I remember one xtian guy years ago who told me he would jack off on webcams, with other people I suppose. I don't know, but ewwww.
His excuse was that he was lonely without a wife.
Some have asked me "how do you know these people were "True Xians"? They are talking about this over at The Raving Theist (who used to be The Raving Atheist) and they are using all sorts of diversion tactics to take the focus away from why fundies are so sex obsessed when they preach against it. They preach against it, try to invoke laws against even what sexual activity goes on in a person's bedroom.
