Thy reasoning come.

insight to help us resolve conflicts and
ease pain.
And lead us not
into supernatural explanations;
deliver us from denial of logic.
For thine is the kingdom of reason,
and even though thy powers are limited,
and you're not always glorious
you are the best evolutionary adaptation
we have for helping this earth now and

Our logic, who art in our heads,
Hallowed be thy wisdom.
Thy enlightenment come.
Thy reasoned will be done,
on earth as it actually is.
Give us this day our daily needs.
And guard us from our fallacies,
As we correct those who indoctrinate their children.
And lead us not into delusion,
But deliver us from ignorance.
For thine is the sanctity of thought,
and the wonder, and all progress,
for ever and ever.

Sad, but true: religion markets fear.
With religious-obsessed, far-right politicians, it's all about the religious agenda, which makes me wonder about the wisdom of the millions of people who seem deadset on seeing socially repressive politicians return to power.
There's this mad rush on to bring religion and the politics of fear in the political discussion. Some believe that fear mongering and the election of far right candidates spouting religious doctrine will save us all from economic and social calamity.
Give me a break.
