Now here's an appealing and useful god . . . .

CAI-SHEN: God of Prosperity and Profit.

He's the Heavenly Treasurer-in-Chief and God of Wealth, having been elevated to Godly status after a spot of mountain meditation.

Once a mortal general named Zhao who fought for the Emperor Zhou (ZHOU-WANG), he rode a black tiger into battle and was armed with exploding pearls.

Fat and cheerful, CAI-SHEN still rides his black tiger and wields a rod of iron. His Godly Accountant is a dab hand with diamonds and pearls, and putting an image of him in your home will do your bank balance no end of good.

We could sure use a god like that here in America now, with the stock market tanking, interest rates on money market accounts being slashed, and all the poor folks whose ARM mortgages are suddenly seeing their rates and monthly payments skyrocket. Plus throw in the rising cost of fuel. We're looking at the perfect storm.

I'm want to buy one of these things. They only seem to come in brass and are about $40.00. That's the cheapest I have found them. It would be a cool conversation piece, if anything.
