Ah yes, yet another consequences of having a corrupt Republican government in place that places corporate interests over public safety. I am so hoping for a meaningful change in November!

Vjack, I am very skeptical about any magic change in November. Obama is a very good rhetorician. Pretty words, and he has practiced the Reagan charismatic appeal methods. But as far as "Change", no. My prediction is that a lot of people are going to be greatly disappointed. His supporters' hopes are so extremely high that when he can't deliver they are going to come crashing to the ground. This is going to do more harm to the Democratic party than good.

I will not resort to voting for another Republican, however.

What a mess we are in that we have come to be almost religious-like in our high hopes in the "visions" of Barack Obama.

I will vote for Obama, but I don't have high expectations. When I first watched "Resident Evil" on DVD, I had low expectations and ended up being pleasantly surprised that the movie wasn't all that bad.

I just want to see the Religious Right kept away from the levers of power for the next 4 years.

tommy, I hope that those who think that any Democrat in the White House is better than a Republican Bushite is right. Things were good during the Clinton years. Unfortunately Hillary has "wigged out" too many times during this campaign and has lost her credibility. At least we would know what we would be getting if she was in the White House...and we would get Bill back. With Obama all we have is a song and a prayer.

The Iraq War is another important factor in deciding who I vote for. While Obama was not in the Senate in 2002, he is at least on record for withdrawal. With McCain, we all know what we can expect from him. There's a new book out that I plan to get, "The Three Trillion Dollar War" by Joseph Stiglitz. I saw him and his co-author Linda Bilmes on C-Span yesterday.
