I don't watch a lot of news on TV much anymore. It is just so shallow, and obviously designed to promote an emotional response rather than an intellectual one.
I never feel like I am being informed about anything with any great degree of objectivity or veracity, it just seems like I am being "schooled" to feel certain ways about certain issues.
I am having opinions fed to me in the hope that I too, will also end up with this opinion. It is too frustrating for me to deal with infotainment masquerading as objective information.
I am really fed up with CNN. Particularly the Paula Zahn show. First they have a roundtable discussion about atheists without including an actual atheist, and then Zahn devotes an entire hour to the death of Anna Nicole Smith.
News programs are supposed to inform us about issues of importance, not bombard us with fluff.
The news media is giving more time to Anna Nicole's death than they did Gerald Ford!
CNN is in a tie for suckiness with FOX News.
