The nutball stories abound. I found this in Yahoo Odd News category, and that is right where it belongs because it’s so bizarre. Some people go to such extremes just to maintain their beliefs. It's not enough just to believe for some people. I am embarrassed to say this fruitball is from my state of Illinois. And this doofus is allowed to drive bus loads of children around.
Man asks court to change his name to ‘In God We Trust’
ZION, Ill. - Steve Kreuscher wants a judge to allow him to legally change his name. He wants to be known as “In God We Trust.”
Kreuscher (CROY’-shir) says the new name would symbolize the help God gave him through tough times.
The 57-year-old man also told the (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald he’s worried that atheists may succeed in removing the phrase “In God We Trust” from U.S. currency.
He recalls that the phrase “God Reigns” was removed from the Zion city seal in 1992 after courts deemed it unconstitutional. Zion was founded as a theocracy — by a sect that believed the Earth was flat.
The school bus driver and amateur artist in the northern Chicago suburb says he has filed a petition to change his name in Lake County Circuit Court.

He should be more worried about stopping war, violence, poverty, drug abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, etc. Christians seem mostly concerned with maintaining their beliefs, but when it comes to actually doing anything to help those in need, most Christians do very little if anything at all. Religious belief is selfish for most of them. They simply want the rewards of heaven and think they deserve it simply because they said some magic words and go to their social clubs on Sunday.
This reminds me of the guy who changed his legal name to Optimus Prime.
Jason, the dude in the article you linked to said that the Optimus Prime toy "filled a void" in his life after his father died. Well, what about someone I know who had a "Boo Boo Bear" that was a comfort to him? I cherished by Barbie doll...should I change my name to Barbie Mattel? Some kids like the Teletubbies. What if someone wanted to change their name to Laa Laa, Po, Dipsy or Twinky Dink??
Actually having the words "In God We Trust" on a piece of paper that - to some - symbolizes the cause of all evil, seems a bit ludicrous to me.
Personally, I'd like to have all the "In Gawd We Trust" simolions as I can!
But as usual, Stardust is right. That guy is a lunatic and shouldn't be allowed to drive the bus. Hell! He shouldn't even be allowed to RIDE the bus! lol
